Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Service Coordinator to join our medical office team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient appointments, ensuring smooth operations, and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires a strong understanding of health information management and medical terminology, along with proficiency in relevant systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Front Desk Check In/Check Out
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments while managing the calendar efficiently.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries with professionalism, providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with health information management standards.
- Utilize eClinical Works and other systems to manage appointment data and patient information effectively.
- Assist in coding processes, including ICD-10 for accurate billing and insurance claims.
- Collaborate with medical staff to streamline appointment processes and improve patient flow.
- Provide administrative support by preparing necessary documentation for patient visits.
- Stay updated on Medicaid, Medicare guidelines and other relevant regulations to assist patients appropriately.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred, showcasing familiarity with health information management and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in using eClinicalWorks or similar systems is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of coding practices, particularly ICD-10, is a plus.
- A background in medical administrative support will be beneficial for this role.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
