We are seeking a full time (40 hour/week) Director of Environmental Services, with management and Life Safety (CMS) experience, in a long-term care facility environment
The Director of Environmental Services is responsible for ensuring that the facility is maintained in a safe, secure, and comfortable manner for residents, staff and visitors. They are also responsible for the supervision of all maintenance, housekeeping and laundry staff.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- The day-to-day coordination and oversight of the Environmental Services team and facility overall
- Manage a team, through the oversight of supervisors, of the housekeeping and laundry departments to include scheduling, hiring, completing of performance reviews, etc.
- Manage a team of maintenance assistants to include scheduling, hiring, completing performance reviews, etc.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the facility, grounds, parking areas and driveways as needed
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc.
- Oversee the service of heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures
- Maintain the facility in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean and orderly environment and follow all established safety procedures and precautions when performing maintenance service
- Plow parking lots during snow storms using company vehicle
- Assist with resident transportation when needed by driving the company vehicle
- Maintain the building in accordance with CMS Life Safety guidelines; maintaining all recordkeeping of compliance
- Observe, report, and take corrective action to remedy any building or environmental condition that may be a safety hazard or require repair or maintenance
- Co-Chair and active member of Safety Committee
- Ensure that established Infection Control and Universal Precautions practices are maintained when performing maintenance, housekeeping and laundry procedures
