We're looking for a Resident Care Coordinator to join our team. The RCC will will implement standards of resident care on a 24-hour basis in the Assisted Living/Memory care units of the community. LPN state licensure required or must be qualified as a Medication Aide for Adult Care Homes (Med Tech) & listed as a CNA in good standing on NC Nurse Aide Registry or have documentation of completing 80 hour PCA training.
Homestead Hills is a full service retirement community conveniently located just off of I-40 certified for 48 Assisted Living residents and 18 Memory Care residents.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Resident Care Coordinator implements standards of resident care on a 24-hour basis in the AL/MC units of the campus. This position oversees the nursing aspects, directing and evaluating of all Assisted Living, Alzheimer’s personnel providing direct resident care within the campus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains residents’ charts to include all admission documents, care plans, records of care, and any other documents required by state regulatory agencies.
- Operates the Assisted Living and Alzheimer’s areas in compliance with all regulations from federal, state, or any other governmental agencies having jurisdiction over the campus and act as liaison between the campus and regulatory agencies.
- Implements the administration of resident medications, assesses response to medications and treatments and makes appropriate adjustments or recommendations for nursing activity to be implemented.
- Participates in and leads staff meetings and implements nursing program.
- Conducts daily resident rounds and initiates corrective action as necessary.
- Participates in and attends all in-service training and education programs as scheduled.
- Other duties as assigned.

- This position is very active and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and climbing.
- This position will be required to lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs. and ability to push up to 250 pounds independently.
- The individual must use proper body mechanics to assist residents in their daily living.
- This position regularly requires long hours and frequent night and weekend work.
TRAVEL: No travel is expected although occasional travel may be required for training sessions, continuing education opportunities, emergency situations, and other company functions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Two- or Four-year college or university degree required.
- Current state licensure as a Nurse or CNA/Med Tech certification required.
- Two years’ experience in a similar healthcare position required.
- Five years of healthcare experience desired.
- Remain in good standing with all standards of the Nurse Practice Act.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
- Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.
- Ability to use Electronic Records and miscellaneous software and office equipment.
- Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
