Field Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Field Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from planning through completion. This role is responsible for managing field operations, coordinating teams and subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring quality standards are consistently met across all job sites.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with hands-on construction knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and oversee construction projects to ensure timelines and quality standards are achieved
- Monitor daily field operations, including coordination with superintendents and subcontractors
- Conduct regular jobsite visits and complete detailed site review reports after each visit
- Travel to project sites as required, including overnight stays
- Occasionally fill in for Superintendents when needed
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and on-the-job training to field personnel
- Conduct coaching and performance feedback to support team development
- Track project progress and make necessary schedule adjustments to maintain deadlines
- Resolve field issues and disputes, escalating concerns to management when appropriate
- Inspect workmanship and ensure compliance with company standards, safety practices, and project specifications
- Maintain effective communication with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Utilize construction project management software to track project activity and documentation
Qualifications
- Commercial Construction management experience or related field experience required , Grocery/Retail is a bonus
- College background in Construction Management or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
- Strong understanding of construction field operations and procedures
- Experience with construction project management software; Procore experience is a plus
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight as needed
