Overview
We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Director of Laboratory Operations to lead and optimize our Industrial Hemp Extraction laboratory functions. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of laboratory management, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining the highest quality in laboratory procedures. Duties
- Lead the planning, coordination, and supervision of daily laboratory activities, including specimen collection, processing, and analysis.
- Oversee laboratory techniques such as raw material intake, extraction protocols, production management, inventory oversight, compliance and regulatory oversight.
- Manage laboratory information systems (LIMS), document management systems, and data collection processes to maintain data integrity and compliance.
- Implement quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) protocols to uphold the highest standards in assay performance, clinical trials, and research projects.
- Supervise laboratory staff by providing training on laboratory procedures, safety protocols to cGMP standards.
- Oversee inventory management of reagents, supplies, and equipment while maintaining calibration schedules and maintenance logs.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, including safety standards, medical terminology accuracy, and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on schedule management for experiments or clinical testing timelines while maintaining meticulous records of all procedures.
- Lead efforts in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround times for assays such as blood sampling or specimen processing.
Experience
- Bachelors Degree Required
- cGMP Knowledge and Experience Highly Reccomended
- Extensive clinical laboratory experience with proficiency in laboratory techniques.
- Proven leadership experience managing laboratory teams or departments within a research setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in laboratory management systems (LIMS), document management systems, and data management tools for accurate record keeping.
- Strong background in quality management systems (QMS), QA/QC procedures, compliance oversight, and regulatory standards applicable to clinical laboratories.
- Familiarity with Industrial Hemp environment operations including sample collection/processing protocols and operational flow management.
- Experience supervising staff within a fast-paced environment.
