We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Store Manager to lead our retail team and drive store success. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating performance to build a high-performing team.
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth functioning of sales, inventory control, cash handling, and customer service processes.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets while maintaining excellent customer relations.
- Manage inventory levels through effective stock management, purchasing, merchandising, and pricing strategies to optimize sales and minimize shrinkage.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements across all store activities.
- Utilize POS systems for transactions, monitor cashiering activities, and ensure efficient checkout experiences for customers.
- Coordinate marketing efforts within the store to promote products and special promotions that attract customers.
- Foster a positive team environment through effective communication skills, employee orientation programs, and ongoing training & development initiatives.
- Implement effective shift management practices to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours while controlling labor costs.
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with a strong background in supervising teams and managing daily operations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in retail math including pricing strategies, sales management, inventory control, and budgeting.
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and inventory management tools.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent communication skills
- Prior experience in recruiting, interviewing candidates, employee orientation, training & development is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques such as merchandising, stocking procedures, marketing initiatives, and promotional planning.
