Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service to enhance their visit experience
- Take orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring quick and friendly service
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including assembling orders and maintaining food safety standards
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while promoting popular or new offerings
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Support food handling procedures, including proper storage, food safety practices, and sanitation in the café or quick-service environment
Experience
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Previous experience in food service, quick service or fast-food restaurant environments preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry
- Experience with food preparation, serving, bussing or kitchen operations is a plus
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high-quality service
