Mariachi Instructor (After-School Program + Performances)
Location: Sacramento, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM + occasional weekends
Pay: Competitive rate (based on experience)
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable, engaging, and experienced Mariachi Instructor to lead after-school enrichment programs for elementary-aged students (K–6th grade). This is a lead instructor role, not an assistant position—you will be responsible for delivering structured lessons, managing your classroom, and preparing students for live performances.
Responsibilities:
- Teach foundational and intermediate mariachi skills (vocals and/or instruments such as violin, trumpet, vihuela, guitarra, guitarrón)
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons for K–6 students
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, structured environment
- Prepare students for school-site performances and occasional weekend events
- Track student progress and participation
- Represent the program professionally during performances and on school campuses
Requirements:
- Experience in mariachi performance and/or instruction
- Ability to work independently and lead a classroom of students
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Reliable transportation and consistent availability
- Must be dependable and punctual
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with elementary-aged students
- Ability to teach multiple mariachi instruments
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
