Traction is a growing consulting company with a wide customer base supporting a number of complicated applications and architectures including the full Microsoft Stack and Odoo ERP implementations.
This requires technical coding and business problem‑solving skills. We are seeking a Technical Developer / Functional Analyst who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation. This role combines hands‑on development with business analysis, solution design, and cross‑functional collaboration. You will work directly with stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and build or configure solutions that improve business processes. Use of AI tools for light development is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Functional / Business Analysis
· Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and refine requirements
· Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications
· Support UAT planning, test case creation, and defect triage
· Functional support of Odoo (all modules) and Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Business Central deployments
Technical Development
· Leverage AI tools to accelerate development (Claude, Codex, Copilot, etc.)
· Design, develop, test, and deploy application features, integrations, and automations
· Write clean, maintainable code (languages/frameworks based on your stack)
· Build APIs, data pipelines, or system integrations as needed
· Configure and customize enterprise applications (ERP/CRM/HRIS/etc.)
· Troubleshoot technical issues and perform root‑cause analysis
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
· Work closely with product owners, business users, and engineering teams
· Translate technical concepts into business‑friendly language
· Provide technical guidance during project planning and solution design
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
· Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C#, JavaScript, SQL)
· Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure)
Functional / Application Skills
· Strong business process understanding (finance, operations, HR, supply chain, etc.)
· Industry expertise (manufacturing, defense, healthcare, etc.)
· ERP and/or CRM experience
