I'm partnering with a well-established and highly respected Seattle law firm to identify a Transactional Associate Attorney to join its Business and Corporate practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working on a broad range of business and transactional matters and wants to develop into a trusted advisor for business clients. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes a proactive approach to client service, enjoys strategic problem-solving, and is eager to assume increasing responsibility in sophisticated transactions.
Working directly alongside experienced partners, you'll receive meaningful mentorship while gaining hands-on experience with a variety of corporate and commercial matters. Just as important as strong legal skills are the relationship-building abilities that help clients navigate complex business decisions with confidence.
What You'll Do

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements

Advise clients on business formation, governance, and operational matters

Support mergers, acquisitions, asset sales, and other corporate transactions

Assist clients with federal, state, and local business tax matters

Draft and negotiate leases and related real estate agreements

Conduct legal research and provide practical business-focused advice

Collaborate directly with partners on sophisticated transactional matters

Develop and maintain strong client relationships through responsive and effective service
Qualifications

Active membership in the Washington State Bar

Experience with business and corporate transactions

Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills

Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities

Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills

Ability to independently manage assignments while collaborating effectively with colleagues

Experience with mergers and acquisitions

Experience advising closely held businesses

Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax issues affecting businesses
