Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and X-ray machines, maintaining proper radiation safety standards.
- Manage patient records efficiently within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and coding.
- Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort before, during, and after procedures to promote a positive experience.
- Provide chairside assistance by managing dental terminology, assisting with dental instrumentation, and supporting the dentist throughout treatments.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and maintaining organized medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.

- 3 Days a week, Tuesdays Wednesday Thursdays 9-5
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures and specialized fields like Periodontitis
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, infection control practices, and aseptic technique.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic or similar platforms is a plus.
- Ability to operate medical imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times.
