Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces, ensuring they meet the required specifications and quality standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Duties
- Prepare and set up concrete forms according to project specifications.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete using various tools and equipment.
- Finish surfaces of poured concrete using hand and power tools to achieve a smooth finish.
- Apply curing compounds and sealers as needed to protect finished surfaces.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and laborers, to ensure project timelines are met.
- Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to understand layout and specifications.
- Operate heavy equipment as necessary for moving materials or assisting in the pouring process.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety guidelines and protocols.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:
- Frame carpentry and trim carpentry
- Proficient use of power tools
- Understanding of drywall installation techniques
- Experience with tile laying
- Familiarity with operating concrete mixers
- Basic welding skills may be beneficial
- Ability to read blueprints effectively
