Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Support meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and organizing ingredients efficiently.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices.
- Follow all food safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.
- Collaborate with team members during busy service times to ensure timely delivery of meals.
- Aid in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or issues promptly.
- Contribute to menu planning ideas and support catering or special event meal preparations as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or culinary roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations is essential.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic cooking techniques are highly desirable.
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide work is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are important for success in this role.
