POSITION: Stormwater Field Service Technician
LOCATION: San Diego, California
DESCRIPTION: The Stormwater Field Service Technician is a crucial member of our team, responsible for maintaining the stormwater systems at hundreds of properties around southern California. This position reports to the Field Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect and clean storm drains and stormwater filtration systems.
- Know the ins and outs of assigned properties and respective stormwater systems.
- Maintenance service on assigned properties.
- Operate company vehicle and equipment, including vacuum, power washer, generators, pumps and power tools.
- Perform repairs, replacements and installations of stormwater filtration units.
- Assists in the production of filter media pouches.
- Facilitate filter media replacement at assigned properties.
- Accurately report the overall condition of the stormwater system at assigned properties by completing service reports utilizing company issued technology.
- Make recommendations for services or improvements to the stormwater system on assigned properties.
- Report all units that should be replaced or repaired at assigned properties.
- Operate apps from company mobile devices (expense reports, time cards, service reports, etc.).
- Take quality photos of each service at every property.
- Keep trucks, equipment, tools and shop organized and tidy.
- Execute disposal workflow.
- Identify field inefficiencies and report them to Field Manager.
- Promptly report any damage or issues with company vehicles to Field Manager.
- Complete the Lead Tech Prep Sheet weekly for assigned properties scheduled the following week .
- Coordinate special access at assigned properties.
- Coordinate traffic control measures with Client Services Manager for assigned properties.
- Secure parts/products needed for a job at assigned properties before service date.
- Ensure accurate records in the software system for assigned properties.
- Bring necessary equipment, tools and supplies to complete scope of work at assigned properties.
- Provide service-related information to client or client services manager for assigned properties.

- Mechanically-inclined: knows how to work with tools and equipment

- Available 6:00AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday with occasional early starts/ OT
- Experienced with data entry and reporting
- Good communication skills, including spoken and written English (our crew is bilingual English/Spanish, but Spanish not required)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $20-$23 per hour, based on experience - raises on merit bases
- Paid holiday, vacation and sick time after 90 days
