Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently.
- Provide accurate wait times and keep guests informed about their table status in a friendly manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand, ensuring a professional appearance at all times.
- Answer phone inquiries with courtesy, providing information about the restaurant’s services and reservation policies.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth seating transitions and guest flow.
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
Experience
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service/hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key.
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette, to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced setting.
