American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Antepartum unit position in Corpus Christi, TX, requiring active ACLS, BLS, NRP, and IFM certifications with at least 1 year of recent experience.

Antepartum unit (APU) located on the 2nd floor (2 East) of the main building in a hospital setting
-
12-bed unit with a patient ratio of 3-4 patients per RN
-
Day shift staffing typically includes 2 RNs and 1 NE when available; night shift includes 2 RNs
-
Procedures include routine assessments, fetal monitoring, vital signs, and finger sticks
-
Equipment used includes Baxter IV Pumps and GE Fetal Monitoring
-
EMR systems used are CPN and Meditech; experience with these systems is preferred
-
Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
-
13-week contract
-
4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule period
-
Floating may be required to L&D (to care for APU patients) and Postpartum (to care for postpartum patients only)

Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP (AAP Advanced 9th Edition), and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN IFM or NCCEFM)

Minimum 1 year of recent Antepartum or relevant RN experience required

L&D experience is preferred

CPN and Meditech EMR experience preferred

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Professional reference required (2 references required if candidate is from Florida or Missouri)

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

All certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible for this position

Royal blue scrubs are required
