Lube Technician
Sarat Ford Lincoln is looking for a motivated Lube Technician to join our busy, fast-paced service team. Our dealership features a climate-controlled shop and provides a great opportunity for someone looking to build their automotive career.
As a Lube Technician, you’ll perform essential preventative maintenance and inspections to help keep our customers’ vehicles safe and running properly. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with vehicles, takes pride in their work, and wants to grow within a dealership environment.
What You'll Do
Perform oil changes, fluid checks, and other routine maintenance
Check transmission fluid and other fluid levels
Inspect belts, filters, tires, and other vehicle components
Check tire pressure and gauges
Perform basic vehicle inspections and identify potential issues
Test vehicle systems and components to ensure they are operating properly
Perform basic repairs and replace worn or damaged parts as needed
Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively
Road test vehicles when necessary
Maintain accuracy, efficiency, and a high level of attention to detail
Follow all dealership and manufacturer service procedures and safety standards

What We're Looking For
Previous automotive or service department experience preferred
Ford certification is a plus
Previous Ford dealership experience is a plus
State Inspector certification is a plus
Basic knowledge of automobiles and vehicle maintenance
Ability to identify and address basic vehicle maintenance issues
ASE certifications are a plus
Basic computer skills and ability to learn new technology
Strong reading, communication, and basic math skills
Ability to follow repair and service procedures and specifications
Positive, friendly attitude and strong customer service skills
Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment
High school diploma or GED preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/work on your feet for extended periods
