After 15 years of operating R.U.F.F. Salon as a highly successful solo stylist, we are officially expanding. We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated Lead Groomer who wants to step into a leadership role and help shape the future of our growing business.
Because we are actively scaling and upgrading our space, we aren't looking for a corporate mindset. We want someone adaptable who thrives in a flexible, collaborative environment. You will have a direct hand in establishing daily workflows and helping oversee our newer apprentice bathers, making this a great opportunity to truly make the back room your own.
The Books & Schedule (Salon & Mobile Options): You will be responsible for building up your own clientele here. We are actively marketing to bring in a steady, manageable flow of new clients to fill your schedule sustainably.
For the right candidate, we have both salon-based and mobile grooming options available. Because our mobile unit is a full-sized grooming bus (not a standard van), any candidate interested in the mobile route will go through an appropriate vetting and driving process before launching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a steady daily schedule of high-quality, safe grooms.
- Oversee daily salon operations, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Conduct final quality checks on prepped dogs (checking nails, ears, and coats for mats).
- Handle client check-ins/outs, rebookings, and daily customer service.
- Confidence in driving and maneuvering a large mobile vehicle if choosing the mobile route.

- A skilled stylist who can maintain a clean, efficient table (or rig).

Compensation & Benefits:
- W2 position: Commission-based structure with a guaranteed hourly base.
