Hiring Field Service Technician – Camera Survey & Installation
Location: Austin, TX
We are currently seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to complete a camera site survey, followed by the installation deployment for the same locations.
Project Schedule
- Starting August 13, 2026
- 9:00 AM – Austin, TX 78753
- 10:30 AM – Austin, TX 78745
- 12:00 PM – Austin, TX 78741
Phase 1: Camera Site Survey
Compensation: $75 per completed site survey
Estimated Time: 30–40 minutes per location
Responsibilities:
- Conduct an on-site survey of the storefront and commercial space.
- Capture 20–30 clear photos of the site.
- Document existing camera locations.
- Recommend new camera placements to provide complete coverage.
- Create a simple schematic showing current and proposed camera locations.
- Complete the required survey documentation.
- Check out by calling the Regional Manager before leaving each site.
Requirements:
- Smartphone with a quality camera.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately document findings.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
Phase 2: Camera Installation
Compensation: $35 per hour (Technicians who successfully complete the survey will be given priority for the installation deployment.)
Responsibilities:
- Install and mount security cameras.
- Pull and route cables through drop ceilings and existing pathways.
- Terminate RJ45 connectors and keystone jacks as needed.
- Mount and secure equipment according to project requirements.
- Test installed equipment and verify proper operation.
- Maintain a clean and professional work area.
Required Skills:
- Experience installing CCTV/security camera systems.
- RJ45 termination and keystone jack installation.
- Cable pulling through drop ceilings.
- Basic camera assembly and mounting.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic cabling and connectivity issues.
- Own basic hand tools and a smartphone.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with commercial security camera installations.
- Low-voltage cabling experience.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and complete documentation accurately.
