Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Pipefitter Helper to assist experienced pipefitters on a new construction project in Upper Sandusky, OH. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with limited experience or looking to start a career in the skilled trades.
- Pay Rate: $24-32 an hour
- Per Diem: $125/day
- Location: Upper Sandusky, OH
- Project Start: Immediate openings available, 7/12's working 13 on 1 off
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist pipefitters with measuring, cutting, threading, and assembling pipe.
- Safely operate grinders, saws, and other power tools to cut, bevel, clean, and prepare pipe and fittings for installation.
- Transport tools, materials, and equipment to work areas.
- Clean and prepare work sites, tools, and materials.
- Load and unload materials and supplies.
- Assist with installation of piping systems according to project specifications.
- Support testing, inspection, and troubleshooting activities.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Some construction experience preferred
- Ability to safely operate grinders and other pipefitting tools
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when necessary.
