Crisis Response Therapist

$55,000 annually
General Summary:
The Crisis Therapist provides leadership and oversight of mental health crisis response services. They also provide mental health support groups at after-school sites, including shelter programs. Crisis Therapist supports team by creating and updating curriculum.
Essential Job Functions:
- Crisis Response
- Oversee and coordinate the organization’s mental health crisis response services.
- Provide direct crisis intervention and stabilization support to individuals and families.
- Mental Health Services
- Ensure services are culturally and linguistically appropriate.
- Guide clients (individuals or groups) in the development of skills or strategies for dealing with their problems by using behavior health interventions with clients.
- Refer to other Completely KIDS programs as needed or appropriate.
- Follow health and safety guidelines established by the agency.
- Maintain an orderly, safe, and clean work environment.
- Observe and consult on behavior plans/strategies for agency youth as requested.
- Refer clients to ongoing services as needed.
- Update and create new skills based and/or psycho-educational curriculum for group
- Administration/Record Keeping
- Fill out and maintain client-related paperwork as required including all required consent forms.
- Maintain data accuracy including data maintenance and entry into appropriate databases in accordance with agency standards.
- Keep all client names and information and other agency business confidential.
- Attend and participate in agency and community training opportunities and meetings as requested.
- Ensure compliance of agency guidelines and grant/partnership requirements.
- Complete all agency and grant reports on time and at 100% accuracy.
- Understand and follow Completely KIDS’ policies and procedures at all times.
- Follow up on all written and verbal communications within 24 hours.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
- Direct Supervision
- Meet with supervisor as required.
- Discuss treatment strategy and client progress with Supervisor as required.
- Continue personal and professional growth and development through reading, research, workshops, seminars and other strategies which will broaden knowledge on therapeutic approaches and techniques and support the maintenance of the mental health practitioner’s license.

Experience & Education:
- Experience with crisis intervention, supervision, and adult mental health treatment.
- 2-3 years of direct service experience working with at-risk youth and families preferred
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and insurance that meets agency requirements
- Active involvement in community organizations or coalitions preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
- Hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Family Therapy from an accredited college or university required.
- PLMHP License required
