Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical equipment. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all facilities equipment, including HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing systems, and mechanical devices.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct HVAC system repairs, including filter replacements, ductwork adjustments, and system calibrations to maintain air quality and temperature control.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for carpentry tasks such as maintenance painting, door repairs, furniture fixes, and building interior upkeep.
- Maintain plumbing systems by repairing leaks, unclogging drains, replacing fixtures, and ensuring plumbing safety standards are met.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions.
- Lead or assist with facilities maintenance projects that enhance the hotel’s infrastructure while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing maintenance requests promptly and professionally from guests or staff members.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to electrical work, welding procedures, or other specialized tasks.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed for accountability and future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building operations within a hospitality or commercial environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on skills in electrical work, plumbing repairs, HVAC system servicing, welding, carpentry, and painting.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, electrical equipment repair tools such as ohmmeters, and maintenance painting techniques.
- Ability to operate hand tools effectively while adhering to safety standards.
- Electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical panels and wiring systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems including repair techniques for heating, ventilation, air conditioning units.
- Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) practices in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication skills in English to coordinate with team members and guests clearly.
- Leadership qualities that enable guiding junior technicians or assisting in team projects when needed.
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams (schematics) for complex repairs or installations efficiently.
