Peach State Nursing Agency has been a supplemental staffing agency located in Milledgeville, Georgia, since 1990. Initially, we focused on providing staffing solutions for hospitals and nursing homes in the middle Georgia area, but we quickly expanded to include home care services as well. We are currently seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team as Independent Contractors. Please note that as an Independent Contractor, you will not be eligible for benefits, and we do not withhold taxes from your pay. The only deduction from your earnings will be 4% to cover workers' compensation.
We currently have openings for Registered Nurses (RNs) at Georgia Regional Hospital in Savannah, Georgia, at a local mental health facility that serves adults with mental illness and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a 16-week contract position that requires full-time work, including an agreement to work every other weekend.
Available shifts are from 7:00 AM -7:30 PM
Orientation sessions are held on the 1st and 16th of each month. Candidates are required to attend a total of 7-8 days of orientation from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. All hours spent in orientation will be compensated.
The hourly pay rate is $50. For any hours worked over 40 in a week, you will be compensated at 1.5 times the hourly rate. Holiday pay is included as well. Payments will be made via weekly direct deposit.
Applicants must have a current Georgia License, an influenza vaccine (administered during flu season), a PPD, and both CPR-BLS through the American Heart Association.
Nurses provide professional nursing care according to treatment plans to improve patients' mental and physical health. In doing so, they utilize the nursing processes of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Job Duties:
Under general supervision, the successful candidate will be expected to:
- Assesses client health problems and needs.
- Develops and implements nursing care plans and maintains medical records.
- Administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients.
- May advise clients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.
- Administers prescribed medications as ordered by physician and documents.
- Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate client care plans.
- Maintains accurate, detailed reports and client records.
- Modifies client treatment plans as indicated by clients' responses and conditions.
- Monitors all aspects of client care, including diet and physical activity.
- Monitors, records and reports symptoms and changes in clients' conditions.
- Observes nurses to ensure that proper nursing care is provided.
- Prepares clients for, and assists with, examinations and treatments.
- Prepares rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensures that stock of supplies is maintained.
- Provides education to client and family.
- Provides health care, first aid, immunizations and assistance in convalescence and rehabilitation.
Requirements:
- One year psych nursing experience
- RN License
- Driver’s License
- American Heart BLS CPR
- Current TB Skin Test or other TB Diagnostic Test
- 10 Panel Drug Screen
- Background Check
