Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and personable Cocktail Bartender to join our lively hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology, excellent customer service skills, and experience in a small, fast-paced bar, either in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings.
Wage
$12 - $14 per hour plus tips
This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft innovative cocktails, engage with diverse guests, and contribute to a memorable guest experience. Candidates should possess strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of food safety and responsible alcohol service. Must be driven by the need to be clean and keep the bar space clean. Must be able to work Friday and Saturday nights.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails and beverages in accordance with established recipes and customer preferences.
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their overall experience.
- Manage POS transactions efficiently using a POS, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Monitor guest intoxication levels and adhere to responsible beverage service policies.
- Restock bar supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff for food service when applicable, including catering or banquet events.
- Handle customer inquiries regarding drink options, specials, and menu items with professionalism.
- Assist in setting up for events such as banquets or private parties when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Skytab POS.
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and responsible alcohol service practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests effectively.
- Ability to manage time efficiently during busy shifts using effective time management skills.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations.
- Experience in serving food and beverages in the food industry or hospitality sector is neccesary.
- Knowledge of food handling, catering, brewing, or retail math is advantageous.
