Job Title: Consultative Physician (Part-Time/Contract) – to work with Illinois Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
Job Description
Western Illinois Home Provider Care is seeking a licensed Illinois physician to provide consultative support for an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner that has achieved Illinois Full Practice Authority (FPA).
This is a very flexible, part-time contract position with minimal time commitment. Responsibilities include meeting Illinois statutory requirements including periodic meetings to review schedule II medication prescriptions and co-signature on physician certification forms for ALF's. There is no expectation for direct patient care, supervision of daily practice, or management of the practice. There is no chart review unless desired. There is no co-signature of prescriptions. There is no other formal oversight. Consultative relationship will be documented and provided to the Illinois PMP.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO licensed and in good standing in Illinois
- Willing to enter into a consultative agreement as required by Illinois law
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics, or a related field preferred
Position Details:
- Independent contractor (1099)
- Flexible schedule
- Remote collaboration with occasional phone or virtual meetings. Communication only M-F during business hours when necessary. APRN to track consultative communication requirements. Communication can occur in MD's preferred method.
- Compensation negotiable

Pay: $100.00 - $450.00 per month
