Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Staff member to ensure the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, functional, and comfortable environment by performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to ensure systems operate efficiently.
- Conduct HVAC system repairs and maintenance to maintain optimal climate control within the facility.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, and general maintenance tasks.
- Repair building interior elements such as walls, ceilings, floors, doors, and fixtures through maintenance painting and carpentry work.
- Maintain facilities equipment including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, plumbing systems, and other mechanical components.
- Follow safety protocols while working with electrical equipment and performing welding or other specialized repairs.
- Read schematics and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs effectively.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants.
- Lead or assist in maintenance projects that improve facility operations or aesthetics.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles with strong mechanical knowledge.
- Skilled in electrical work including repair of electrical equipment and understanding of schematics.
- Experience with HVAC system repair and building interior maintenance is essential.
- Proficiency with plumbing system maintenance and repair using appropriate tools such as pipe wrenches and ohmmeters.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively; welding experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in building automation systems.
- Familiarity with maintenance painting techniques including residential painting standards.
- Strong understanding of facilities equipment maintenance procedures for MRO (maintenance, repair & operations).
- Excellent communication skills in English; capable of reading technical manuals and schematics clearly.
- Leadership qualities to guide or collaborate with team members on complex projects when needed.
