Job Summary
We are a half vegan, half non vegan gourmet pizza bar. We have been in the business since 2018 and it is time to grow. We would like to meet some dedicated and experienced industry professionals to grow together. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring efficient restaurant operations, and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, including staff management and customer service
- Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste
- Train, develop, and mentor staff to enhance their skills in food service management
- Handle cash management and POS transactions accurately
- Implement effective budgeting strategies to optimize restaurant profitability
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in both front-of-house and back-of-house areas
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Collaborate with kitchen management to create menu items that meet customer preferences
- Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new team members
- Address customer complaints promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development
- Proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary experience is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations gracefully
- Experience in budgeting, inventory control, and cash handling practices
- Familiarity with various dining experiences including quick service, casual dining, fine dining, banquet services, catering, bar operations, and coffee service
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
