Duties
- Perform routine pool maintenance including cleaning filters, skimming debris, and balancing chemicals to ensure optimal water quality.
- Inspect and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct regular inspections of pool systems to identify potential issues early and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Maintain detailed records of service visits, repairs performed, and maintenance schedules for each client’s pool.
- Troubleshoot mechanical problems with pool systems and execute repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Assist with seasonal start-up and closing procedures to prepare pools for peak usage or off-season storage.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding service updates, maintenance needs, and safety protocols.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience working on pool equipment or similar machinery.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Experience in pool cleaning, chemical balancing, and routine upkeep of swimming pools.
- Ability to diagnose issues quickly and perform equipment repairs confidently.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to pool operation and maintenance practices.
- Service technician experience preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
