LVL UP Fitness Position Description
Position Title: Large Group Personal Trainer
Reports to: Head Trainer
Hours/Shift: Part time
General Summary
As a Large Group Personal Trainer, you will be responsible for executing the LVL UP Fitness workout routine for groups of up to 30 people at once. This job requires the ability to present in front of large groups and effectively demonstrate exercises as well as present varying alternatives for your members based on their current fitness abilities. You will be responsible for assisting and correcting members as they make their way through the workout routine in a positive and uplifting manner. You will also be assisting with the selling of a membership following a prospect’s first session.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Lead Duties:
1. Instruct and lead the predesigned LVL UP workout routine.
2. Fulfill Member Service requirement.
Duties may include the following: Fitness assessments and equipment orientations. Fitness equipment cleaning. Promote and sell the LVL UP workout program.
3. Achieve or exceed monthly utilization of class times.
4. Develop and maintain a personal training client base.
5. Administration responsibilities include but not limited to reporting all redeemed group fitness sessions in the club software system, reporting commissions, booking of appointments, and handling member files.
6. Ensure the safe exercise execution by members in the main gym area.
7. Must attend at least 2 classes per week.
8. Make sure all members and guests are following the club rules and regulations.
9. Performs other lead duties as assigned.
10. Present oneself professionally through dress, poise, and posture.
Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred in kinesiology, sports medicine, or another related field.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Current certification with a nationally recognized personal training organization. o Preferred LVL UP certifications include: NASM, ACSM, ACE, AFAA, NSCA
- Current CPR certification. First aid also desired.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Work is performed in a group studio setting
- Must be able to present workout routines clear and concisely with energy and enthusiasm
- Must be able to lift weight upwards of 45 lbs+
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $65.00 per hour
