Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Painter Helper to assist our experienced Painters on various construction and maintenance projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual eager to learn the painting trade, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to a successful team. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically capable, and possesses a strong work ethic.
Duties
- Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, covering floors and furniture with drop cloths, taping, and masking areas.
- Assist in surface preparation, including sanding, scraping, cleaning, and light drywall patching or caulking as directed.
- Support the lead Painter by fetching materials, mixing and transporting paint, and ensuring all necessary tools are available.
- Clean and maintain brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other tools at the end of the workday and project completion.
- Ensure the work area is clean and organized throughout the project and at the end of each day, safely storing equipment and supplies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies under the guidance of the team lead.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks on-site as needed, supporting the overall project team.
- Willingness to learn painting techniques, staining, and proper application methods from experienced team members.
Experience & Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of verified, professional painting experience is required.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work in various weather conditions and heights (on ladders or scaffolding).
- Reliable transportation to and from various job sites (commercial and residential).
- Strong commitment to safety and following instructions.
- A positive attitude and a desire to work as part of a collaborative team.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
