Job description:
California Energy Initiative is hiring entry-level Door Taggers to support our growing residential solar team in the Sacramento area. This is the perfect first step into the solar industry — you’ll walk assigned neighborhood routes and place informational notices on homeowners’ doors. It’s straightforward work with a clear path to grow, and strong performers move up quickly into appointment setting and closing.
What you’ll do:
- Walk assigned neighborhood routes on foot
- Place CEI informational notices/tags on doors along your route
- Hit daily route and tag goals
- Represent CEI professionally in the field
Compensation:
- 20% commission on closed deals
- Average commission $1,600–$12,000, paid out on install

- Comfortable walking and working outdoors for a full shift
- Self-motivated and coachable
- No experience required — we train you
