The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for performing electrical work on various commercial, industrial, multifamily, and service projects. Daily responsibilities may include layout, rough-in, trim-out, troubleshooting, service repairs, panel work, conduit bending, wire pulls, equipment connections, lighting, device installation, and jobsite coordination.
You will be expected to work independently when needed, follow direction when given, communicate issues before they become problems, and maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
Core Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems on commercial, industrial, multifamily, and service projects.
- Read and understand blueprints, plans, specs, and job instructions.
- Bend and install EMT, rigid, and other raceway systems as required.
- Pull wire, terminate devices, install panels, lighting, gear, and electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues in commercial and industrial environments.
- Complete service calls professionally and communicate clearly with customers.
- Coordinate with the owner, GC, superintendent, property managers, and other trades.
- Maintain safe work practices and follow NEC requirements.
- Keep tools, materials, and work areas organized.
- Document work completed, material needs, jobsite issues, and change order conditions.
- Take ownership of the work and represent MKS Electric professionally.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman-level electrical experience.
- Strong knowledge of the NEC and safe electrical practices.
- Ability to work on commercial, industrial, multifamily, and service projects.
- Ability to read plans and perform layout.
- Experience bending conduit and installing raceway systems.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Basic hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work independently or with a small crew.
- Must show up on time, communicate clearly, and take pride in quality work.
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
