Harvest Honey Meal Prep is a premium meal prep and baking company located in San Marcos, California. We pride ourselves on using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and creating meals that are both nutrient-dense and incredibly flavorful.
We are looking for a highly organized and motivated Lead Chef / Kitchen Operations Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines food production, kitchen management, inventory oversight, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is someone who loves creating efficient systems, leading a team, and ensuring every production day runs smoothly.
About Us
Harvest Honey has been serving San Diego County since 2020. We've had the privilege of serving more than 80 professional athletes across the NFL, NBA, and NHL, while also helping busy individuals and families simplify healthy eating.
Our meals are made from scratch and are always dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, and refined sugar-free. We are committed to providing high-quality, nutrient-rich meals that help our clients feel their best.
Responsibilities
Kitchen Operations
· Lead and oversee weekly meal production
· Ensure recipes and quality standards are consistently followed
· Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient kitchen environment
· Identify opportunities to improve workflow and efficiency
· Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are upheld
Inventory & Ordering
· Manage inventory counts and ingredient organization
· Monitor product usage and minimize waste
· Assist with ordering food and kitchen supplies
· Ensure production ingredients are available and organized before cook days
Production Planning
· Create and manage weekly prep lists
· Organize production schedules and task assignments
· Ensure production days run smoothly and efficiently
· Anticipate potential issues before they impact production
Team Leadership
· Assist in managing kitchen staff
· Delegate tasks and provide direction during production
· Help train and onboard new team members
· Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture
Qualifications
· Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Lead Cook, Production Chef, or similar role
· Strong organizational and leadership skills
· Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
· Experience with inventory management and kitchen systems
· Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
· Passion for high-quality food and attention to detail

· Thursday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (end time may vary)
· Saturday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (end time may vary)
· Sunday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (end time may vary)
Additional days and hours may become available as the company continues to grow.
