Oak Cliff Pediatrics has served the Oak Cliff and surrounding community since 2018 and currently comprises four physicians, two nurse practitioners, and multiple support staff. We strive every day to deliver high quality, comprehensive medical treatment for children in a comfortable and welcoming environment with a dedicated and supportive team.
Position Summary
The Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct, high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients with a variety of medical and/or behavioral health conditions in a medical office setting. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the RN delivers safe, efficient, and compassionate care. This role requires strong clinical judgment, patient advocacy, critical thinking, and the ability to support patients and families in a safe, therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities
● Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex medical and behavioral health needs.
● Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed, following nursing and safety standards.
● Monitor and assess patient progress, identifying acute changes in condition, chronic exacerbations, or behavioral crises.
● Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and coping strategies.
● Communicate clearly with families, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary team to support continuity of care.
● Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
● Follow infection control, patient safety, and regulatory standards to ensure high-quality care delivery.
● Participate in quality improvement, annual education, and ongoing competency development.
● Supervise medical assistant staff with training, annual reviews and continuing education.
● Experience and supervision over our Vaccine for Children Program
Qualifications
● Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program required; BSN preferred.
● Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas required.
● BLS certification required.
● ACLS certification required within at least 30 days from hire date
● 1–2 years of pediatric nursing experience, preferably in acute care or outpatient clinic
● Experience with medical and/or behavioral health patient populations strongly preferred.
● Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and teamwork skills required.
Salary Range: $35.00-$40.00/hour, Full-time position
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
