Varsity Lacrosse Coach

Vicksburg Community Schools is seeking a Varsity Lacrosse Coach for the 2026-2027 school year.
· Serve as a positive role model to the players and parents
- Teach skills through effectively planned practices at a level appropriate for each member of the team
- Condition athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength and agility
- Responsible for all aspects of directing the team’s practice and play in games.
- Teach sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic and responsibility to one’s team
- Monitor player’s personal conduct during games
- Manage equipment
- Effectively communicate with parents about expectations, schedules, etc.
- Performs related duties as required

· Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well with 13-18-year-old student athletes
- Previous coaching experience at the high school level
- Previous playing experience at the high school or college level
- Willingness to learn and follow district and MHSAA rules and guidelines
- Concussion/CPR/AED training required
- Completion of Level 1 or Level 2 Coaches Advancement Program (CAP) or willingness to obtain.
- Must pass background checks and comply with state and district requirements for working with students.
· Ability to run, walk, and move around school campuses, fields, and other facilities.
- May be required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel and squat for extended periods.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions including hot, cold and rainy weather.
- May require an employee to lift and/or move heavy objects.
