Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian for a 13-week travel assignment in Bemidji, Minnesota. The Dietitian will provide medical nutrition therapy, nutrition assessments, patient education, and individualized nutrition care plans for patients across all age groups in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients of all ages.
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans.
- Provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition support recommendations.
- Educate patients and families on disease-specific nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Monitor patient progress and evaluate nutrition interventions.
- Recommend diet modifications, oral nutrition supplements, and enteral nutrition support.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Provide nutrition counseling for chronic disease management and preventive care.
- Follow evidence-based nutrition practices and clinical protocols.
- Recognize and address cultural, religious, and ethnic dietary needs.
Requirements
- Active Minnesota Registered Dietitian License (or eligible to obtain before the start date).
- Minimum 2 years of Dietitian experience, preferably in an acute care setting.
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential.
- BLS certification preferred (not required).
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
- Strong communication, clinical assessment, and patient education skills.
