JOB DESCRIPTION
A large concrete construction company is seeking a Field Safety Representative for a direct hire opportunity to support construction operations by fostering a proactive safety culture through training, coaching, field engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will work closely with craft labor, subcontractors, general contractors, and project teams to promote safe work practices and support compliance with project safety requirements. They will be onsite Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct daily safety activities on active construction sites.
Lead morning safety huddles and toolbox talks.
Deliver safety training and identify opportunities to improve training effectiveness.
Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans.
Perform field audits, jobsite inspections, and safety observations.
Partner with subcontractors, craft personnel, and general contractor representatives on safety initiatives.
Support project inspections and corrective action efforts.
Coach employees on safe work practices and help identify root causes of safety concerns.
Reinforce company and project safety policies and procedures through education and coaching.
Maintain a visible presence in the field and actively communicate safety expectations.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
3-5 years of construction safety experience.
OSHA 30 certification.
Experience delivering safety training programs.
Experience developing or supporting safety plans.
Experience conducting field audits and jobsite inspections.
Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with labor, subcontractors, and general contractors.
Ability to approach safety concerns through coaching, mentorship, and problem-solving.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
CHST or CSP certification.
Experience working for an electrical contractor or trade contractor.
Experience collaborating directly with general contractor safety teams.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
