Job Summary
We are seeking a experienced Light Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems in commercial environments. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and customer satisfaction. A strong foundation in HVAC/R systems, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, and mechanical knowledge is essential to thrive in this role. Pay is directly related to experience and performance. Base pay range $30.00/hr-65.00/hr.
Duties
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC/R equipment including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and building automation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues.
- Utilize hand tools, electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters, and specialized equipment to identify faults and execute repairs efficiently.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and mechanical systems repair to ensure all equipment operates safely and reliably.
- Maintain detailed service reports, logs, and documentation of all work performed for accountability and future reference.
- Assist with HVAC system installation projects by following safety protocols and technical specifications while ensuring quality workmanship.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician with a focus on HVAC/R systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, and related equipment.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical systems repair.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters effectively.
- Knowledge of HVAC system maintenance procedures along with the ability to perform equipment troubleshooting efficiently.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in electrical or mechanical fields are advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
Pay: $30.00 - $65.00 per hour
