Job Description:
The operator mechanic will perform all phases of field operations for crop production and assist in maintaining and repairing
all equipment needed in the farm operations.
Responsibilities:
o Operate or drive all the various types of equipment needed in the company’s farm operations.
o Maintain knowledge of computer controls used with all precision ag equipment.
o Perform all duties required to successfully produce the crops grown including tillage, planting, fertilization, chemical application, cultivation, harvesting, and transporting of the crop.
o Assist in performing all maintenance and repairs where needed on all equipment and vehicles used
in the farming operations.
o Observe and report all technical and mechanical concerns to the Lead Mechanic.
o Comply with company and customer regulations and policies.
o Continually monitor and report all health, safety, and food concerns or deviations to supervisory management.
Preferred Qualifications:
o Experience in the operation of farm equipment including tractors, harvesters, cultivators, tillage equipment, etc.
o Candidate be a self-motivated and detail-oriented person with a high drive to be able to focus in
a high tempo environment with ability to adapt to changing situations on a daily basis.
o Knowledge of chemicals and their handling or application requirements.
o Ability to obtain a Pesticide Applicator’s License.
o Agricultural knowledge of plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, and computer systems.
o Good mechanical aptitude to detect and correct or repair equipment issues.
o Available to travel to various crop areas.
o Pay scale will be determined by qualifications.
o Must have knowledge of health, safety, and food safety standards pertaining to the agricultural infrastructure (training provided).

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
