Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, provide menus, and assist with recommendations to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems (Toast Tabs) , ensuring timely delivery
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments using POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Upsell menu items such as specialty drinks or desserts to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and delivery for a seamless dining experience
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing bills confidently
- Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and adhering to food safety standards is essential
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude
