Our history dates back to 1905, when we began to produce castings in Elyria, Ohio, for the machine tool, gas engine and other industries. Our Hodge Foundry location began operation in 1876 and built a reputation for quality casting from its Greenville, Pennsylvania location. The two foundries joined to form a single company in 2008, which is today known as Elyria Foundry. Position: Maintenance Planner (5am ~ 1:30pm)
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of a Maintenance Planner include:
- Developing and managing detailed preventative maintenance schedules and work orders (heavy data entry – computer work)
- Coordinating and scheduling all preventative maintenance activities with the team
- Ensuring that all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and industry standards
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance performed, equipment condition, and maintenance costs in CMMS
- Working with engineering and operations teams to plan and implement equipment modifications and upgrades
- Work closely with MRO Buyer and/or purchasing team
- Facilitate work orders and completion.
- Assist in any other assigned duties.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
- 5+ years of strong computer skills / data entry experience
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
- 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience
- 2+ years CMMS experience (eMaint preferred)
- Able to work independently and/or with a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
- Familiarity with maintenance equipment and supplies procurement processes
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Attention to detail
- Able to influence without direct authority.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Position requires the ability to stand, sit or walk for long durations.
- Indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures (hot/cold/dirty).
- Handle moving objects: Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
- The ability to see details at close and distant range with depth perception and the ability to see colors.
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking stooping and handling materials.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 lbs.
