- Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience; prior experience in PCU or similar units preferred
Pay & Benefits:

What You'll Do:
- Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed PCU unit with a patient ratio of 1:3
- Monitor and manage patients with conditions like AFIB/RVR, DKA, HTN, COPD, ARF, post-heart caths, stroke (CVA/TIA), spinal surgeries, and more
- Administer titratable medications such as Cardene, Cardizem, Insulin, Heparin, Neo, Levophed (manager approval may be required)
- Support procedures like chest tube management, tracheostomy care, lumbar drains, and peritoneal dialysis (preferred but not required)
- Assist with documentation using Meditech Expanse EMR system
- Collaborate with charge nurses, resource nurses, RT, hospitalist, and other multidisciplinary team members
- Support the unit during busy periods, ensuring patient safety and quality care
What You Need:
- Active RN license in Louisiana or other state as applicable
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care RN experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Strong clinical skills in cardiac and neurological patient management
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to arrival
- Flexibility to work a 5/2 schedule, including every other weekend and holidays
