We are seeking an experienced CNC Turning and/or Milling Operator / Setup Technician to oversee daily milling/turning operations, perform setups, and support the production team. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of leading by example in a precision manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up CNC Lathe, Mills machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Select and install tooling, fixtures, and materials
- Adjust machine offsets and ensure proper tolerances are maintained
- Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks
- Make necessary program edits at the machine (if required)
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety and company procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum [3] years of CNC Turning/Milling setup experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Familiarity with tight tolerance work (aerospace experience is a plus)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues
- Reliable and detail-oriented
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with [Fanuc / Okuma / etc.] controls
- Knowledge of tooling and cutting parameters
