Responsibilities
- Thoroughly wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for service.
- Support the culinary team in food handling activities, ensuring proper storage and sanitation practices are followed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal to promote a safe kitchen environment.
- Help with bussing tables and clearing dining areas during service to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, cleaning chemicals, and equipment operation.
- Contribute to catering events or banquet setups by preparing ingredients or assisting with setup and cleanup as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, catering, or hospitality environments is not necessary.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with cleaning procedures, food handling safety standards, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues and guests.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
- Previous experience in banquet service or culinary roles is a plus but not mandatory.
- Must be timely and reliable.
