Working Hours: Day Shift: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (Full-time)

Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Parts Handling and Inventory Management:
- Ensure all parts are pulled, properly bagged, and labeled for drivers, placing them on designated racks.
- Maintain backstock levels and address low quantities promptly.
- Conduct regular inventory checks of gaskets, clamps, filters, and recores.
- Place timely orders for required parts, tools, and supplies to maintain optimal shop functionality.
2. Shop Maintenance and Cleanup:
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks, ensuring the shop is organized and meets safety standards.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure everything is in place and address any corrective actions needed.
- Organize tools and equipment.
- Sweep and clean the shop floor, flow bench, filter bench, and carts.
- Wipe down equipment such as the trap blaster, soot sucker, and flow bench.
- Empty the soot sucker bucket and take out the trash if cans are full.
3. Customer Service, Local Logistics, and Errand Running:
- Perform local pickups or drop-offs with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
- Communicate pertinent information to drivers, including any notes or issues related to filters.
- Record important information on work orders and inform responsible drivers of any filter-related concerns.
- Run errands as needed, such as picking up filters for cleaning.
- Log all relevant data for incoming filters to keep the website updated.
4. Equipment Preparation and Shutdown Procedures:
- Prepare and inspect FSX equipment and cleaning machines to ensure proper functionality.
- Operate and shut down various equipment, including the trap blaster, soot sucker, and air compressor.
- Ensure proper functioning of kilns and perform lockup procedures.
- Leave notes for the next shift worker, detailing any important information.
5. Filter Inspection, Processing, and DPF Testing:
- Inspect, flow, weigh, and test all filters as drivers return.
- Perform disassemblies, sensor removals, cuts, or repairs as needed during the filter processing.
- Systematically remove filters from kilns and arrange them on racks for cooling.
- Perform welds strategically during downtime, avoiding interference with other operational processes.
- Flow and weigh all Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOCs) during the pneumatic cleaning of Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs).
- Conduct rigorous testing of DPFs, ensuring accurate data recording and proper tagging.
6. Quality Control and Recordkeeping:
- Verify that all repairs are completed as specified in work orders.
- Ensure accurate data entry and appropriate tagging of DPFs with the correct color code.
7. Kiln Operation and Maintenance:
- Operate kilns above 500 degrees, adhering to established procedures for temperature management.
- Employ industrial fans to expedite kiln cooling while maintaining safety standards.
- Exercise caution during the removal of filters, ensuring the kiln temperature is below 300 degrees.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Welding experience strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently.
- Effective communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
- Driver's license and clean driving record is a must.
