Basketball Coach (Part-Time) – Youth Summer Camp
Location: Syosset, NY
We are seeking an energetic, responsible, and passionate Basketball Coach to join our youth enrichment program. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, teaching basketball fundamentals, and creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead basketball instruction for students in grades K–8
- Teach fundamental skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and game strategy
- Plan and organize age-appropriate drills and activities
- Supervise students during practices and games
- Ensure a safe and engaging environment for all participants
- Communicate effectively with camp staff and program directors
Qualifications
- Previous basketball coaching or playing experience
- Experience working with children preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Reliable, professional, and enthusiastic attitude
- Ability to pass background screening
Schedule
- Summer Camp: Weekday mornings between 9:30am and 11:30am from 7/6/2026 to 8/14/2026 for 6 weeks.
Compensation
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience
- Opportunities for continued coaching during the school year
