Mago Construction Company is a family-owned asphalt paving contractor based out of Bardstown, KY with asphalt plants, two rock quarries, and construction operations throughout the state of Kentucky.
We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety-focused Class A CDL Tanker Driver to transport liquid asphalt. This position is a critical part of our operations and requires someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining the highest safety standards. Routes are in-state only, and drivers are home nightly.
Essential Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with no license restrictions that would prevent the safe performance of the job.
- Valid Tanker Endorsement (N) required. Applicants must maintain all required CDL endorsements and licenses throughout employment.
- Safe driving record and ability to meet all applicable DOT requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform all work in accordance with OSHA regulations and Mago Construction's safety policies and procedures.
- Safely operate a tanker truck to transport liquid asphalt to designated locations.
- Complete and maintain all required DOT logs, trip reports, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.
- Prepare receipts and required paperwork for loads picked up and delivered.
- Maintain communication with dispatch and supervisors regarding delivery schedules and instructions.
- Load and unload the tanker as required.
- Conduct thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including tires, lights, brakes, fluids, and other safety equipment.
- Report maintenance issues promptly and help ensure the truck remains in safe operating condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
