Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independence among children
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety at all times
- Maintain accurate records of each child's progress, behavior, and daily routines
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's development and any concerns
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care
- Manage classroom routines efficiently while promoting positive behavior management strategies
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific needs
- Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure safety during emergencies
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and empathy
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of children and families
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and families effectively
