Duties
- Assist in interpreting construction plans and blueprints to execute project specifications accurately
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as concrete mixers and concrete pumps to perform tasks like pouring, finishing, cutting, and installing concrete
- Construct formwork and rebar frameworks for concrete structures, ensuring proper alignment and safety compliance
- Install diverse materials including metal studs, masonry elements, flooring, tile, stucco, plastering, roofing, and caulking for renovation and new builds
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Conduct site preparation activities such as demolition, excavation, and site cleanup to maintain a safe working environment
- Follow construction workplace safety regulations diligently while working on various projects involving concrete pouring, concrete cutting, masonry work, restoration efforts, and more
Requirements
- Proven experience working on construction projects with knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction tools, equipment operation, and technical drawing interpretation
- Familiarity with concrete forming, finishing, pouring, cutting, and stucco application techniques
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately for different project phases
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Skills in masonry, carpentry including metal stud framing, flooring installation, tile laying, roofing, plastering, caulking, and restoration work
- Experience operating power tools such as drills, saws, mixers, and concrete pumps safely and effectively
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while maintaining safety standards
- Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with other tradespeople and supervisors
