American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience, high-risk experience, and advanced fetal monitoring certification.

Labor & Delivery unit (Unit 707) located on the 4th floor of a hospital with 16 beds and a staff of 120
-
Patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity
-
Procedures performed include vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections (C-sections), D&C, cerclage, and C-hyst
-
Equipment used includes Baxter pumps and Philips electronic fetal monitoring
-
EMR systems in use are Cerner and Fetal Ink
-
Day shift schedule: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
-
Floating to MFMU, MOMB, and NICU may be required
-
Weekend and on-call work are not required but may be available upon approval
-
Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required

High-risk L&D experience required

Immediate newborn care experience required

Required certifications: BLS or ALS (AHA or ARC accepted), NRP (Advanced 9th Edition, American Academy of Pediatrics card required), and Advanced Fetal Monitoring (intermediate or advanced AWHONN, or NCCEFM)

Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted

One professional reference required (two references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Circulating experience is preferred but not required

Candidates who are outgoing, friendly, and adaptable are considered a strong personality fit for the team

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
